Swedish Secrets

From interiors to construction and the clothes we wear, design is everywhere! For the entire month of September, Swedish Secrets lifts the lid on contemporary Swedish design. Over 40 designers, architects and fashion designers working towards a more sustainable society invite design lovers and professionals to the Institut Suédois for showrooms, discussions and seminars.

All our spaces will be turned into a showroom designed by internationally famous Franco-Swedish designers Färg & Blanche. Each showcased brand has chosen an object and a secret associated with it. The presentation is inspired by the different parts  of a home, divided up using light-coloured canvas with rounded corners in order to showcase each piece of furniture and each object while creating a sense of continuity.

Special guided visits to the artist-in-residence studios at the Institut Suédois, each interior-designed by a Swedish designer in partnership with a brand, will also be available. During Paris Design Week (8-17 September), the mediation team is offering a new concept in addition to the usual visits: “aperitif visits”. Discover the “flavours of Sweden” that match the interior design of each studio!

In parallel, Architects Sweden is organising several discussions during which Swedish and French architects will talk about the challenges they face, such as coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, urban development and the role of circular and renewable materials in new buildings.

At the end of the month, as part of Paris Fashion Week, the Färg & Blanche showroom will be remodelled to include the latest creations by major fashion brands.

Participating companies and designers include: Act of Caring, Alexander Lervik, Beckmans School of Design, Blå Station, Dahls Agenturer, Dometic, Duved Framtid, Dux, Form Us With Love, Gärsnäs, Ingridsdotter, Johanson Design, Karl Andersson & Söner, Kjellander Sjöberg architects, Liljewall arkitekter, Lisa Hilland, Målerås, Maze Interiors, Murman arkitekter, Nola, Okko, Paradisverkstaden, Paris Habitat, Stackelberg, Svensk Form Väst, Tarkett, Transparent, Wästberg Lighting, White Arkitekter, Yvonne Börjesson Paris-Stockholm.

Swedish Secrets is organised in collaboration with Architects Sweden, Swedish Wood and several Swedish fashion organisations. Supported by the Embassy of Sweden in France.

Swedish Secrets is part of Swedish Design Movement, an initiative bringing together stakeholders from the worlds of design, fashion and architecture who are convinced that design plays a crucial role in a more sustainable society. They have all signed this manifesto!
