Dance theatre: Feather Land, déplacements sans ailes [wingless migrations]

As part of the Impulsion! Festival, choreographer Michaela Meschke presents a show that explores colonisation and the way it affects our lives, the way we share space and the idea of welcome.

Feather Land is about migration. Populations move in order to survive, but how can borders be crossed when they have no wings, while inported products and goods maintain overconsumption and circulate freely? Are we able to give up our privileges? Can we rethink the way space is shared?

Proudly European choreographer Michaela Meschke – who is Swedish and lives in Paris –, leader of the Moveo dance company, seeks out more responsible spaces and attempts to identify uncomfortable, neglected or forgotten areas that allow us to see our environment from a more inclusive perspective turned towards the future.
