New Nordic Cinema Voices: Knocking

New Nordic Cinema Voices is an event devoted to contemporary Nordic cinema organised by the Institut finlandais. We join our northern neighbours with a film from our annual "Film Selection": “Knocking” by Frida Kempff.

Every year, the Institut Suédois and our mother institution the Swedish Institute in Stockholm select a series of Swedish films that we are eager to support. Knocking by Frida Kempff is part of this year’s Film Selection.

Having experienced a traumatic event, Molly moves to a new flat. She starts hearing mysterious knocking noises that seem to be coming from the floor above. But when she talks to her neighbours about it, they have no idea what she’s talking about…

Frida Kempff’s debut feature film is sophisticated and full of suspense!
