August Strindberg, who is without doubt one of the best known Swedish writers in France and worldwide, stayed in Paris during several periods of his life. Two of his most important works, Inferno and A Madman’s Defence, were even written in French. Introduced by Elena Balzamo, translator and author of several books on Strindberg, including a three-volume selection of letters from his abundant correspondence.
