“I am working on an exhaustive biography on Ingmar Bergman (to be published 2028-29), and will use my Paris visit to research Bergman’s ‘French connection’ over the years, including his 1949 stay in Paris, his plans to move to France permanently in 1976 and his appointment as Commandeur de la Legion d’honneur by the president of the republic in 1988.”
Aurelia Le Huche
Performer and director
03.08 – 16.08.2026
“My name is Aurelia Le Huche and I’m a Swedish/French interdisciplinary performer and director. With a background in classical ballet, I work in a combination of a movement-based and text-based formal language, often with elements of video and/or live music. With my art, I want to create deeper life experiences, a sense of context and comfort in a time where soft values and pastoral care are usually not prioritized.”
“During my stay in Paris, I want to work with the project “Dea Muta”, intended to be a solo performance about the ineffable and about communication beyond words. The project is inspired by the Greek myths of Philomela and Arachne, as well as other stories about mute girls and women. It is also connected to my own upbringing with a French father and questions about language and identity.”

“I will be staying in Paris because I am working on a book manuscript. I am visiting places that can provide insight into what I am writing about. I have been to Rome, Brussels, and Milan, and now the time has come for the exciting and beautiful Paris.”

Kristel Thalström
Designer
03.08 – 30.08.2026
“With a degree in Fashion Design from Paris and Art History from Uppsala University, I’ve built a multidisciplinary career path. Previously I’ve worked as a fashion designer for different Swedish brands and now split my time between as a digital designer and freelancing for my own company Atelier Thalström. My work combines fashion, graphic design, illustration, and textile craft.”
“My aim in Paris is to research and develop new textile and embroidery projects by exploring a potential design dialogue between Swedish craft traditions and French haute couture. I will study museum archives, take a course at École Lesage, and connect with artisans and suppliers to advance my design practice and future collaborations, but also allow myself plenty of time to sketch and do research.”
