Booktail party: Ă…sa Larsson

To coincide with the publication in France of her crime thriller "Les Crimes de nos pères" (original title "Fädernas missgärningar") on 2 November, Åsa Larsson will be talking about her childhood in Lapland and the successful series of which this novel is the final instalment. The event will be taking place in the warm, cosy café FIKA!

Ǻsa Larsson grew up in Kiruna, north of the Arctic Circle, where all her novels are set. Like her heroine Rebecka Martinsson she is a lawyer, but she now devotes her time to writing. She has become the most popular crime writer in Scandinavia and now has millions of readers around the world.

This time, Rebecka Martinsson investigates an old cold case in relation to a string of recent murders. Organised crime, property fraud, prostitution… Rebecka follows a trail with many unexpected ramifications, unaware that she will soon discover secrets about the history of her own family. With “The Sins of our Fathers”, which is a best-seller in Scandinavia and has won the Swedish Detective Novel Prize, Ă…sa Larsson brings her cult series of Rebecka Martinsson novels to a close.

An opportunity to meet Ă…sa Larsson as she talks to the literary journalist Pascale Frey about her life and work over a drink!

Les Crimes de nos pères was translated from Swedish by Anne Karila and is published by Albin Michel.

In collaboration with Albin Michel.
