Children’s area: Happy Birthday Pippi!

The iconic Pippi Longstocking is celebrating her 75th birthday this year, so why not bring the family to the special area dedicated to Pippi in our small gallery!
Visual of Pippi Longstocking holding two cakes and balancing one on her head.

Pippi Longstocking, the strongest girl in the world and an icon of Swedish children’s literature, is celebrating her 75th birthday this year. The first Pippi Longstocking book was published in 1945, but the little girl who has delighted generations of children is still only 9 years old. To celebrate this anniversary, the Institut SuĂ©dois has created a little corner of her world for you and your family to enjoy. Discover the adventures of Pippi Longstocking and her friends the monkey and the horse in our reading corner…with a few disguises for you to try on!
