DJ set: Olof Dreijer

The Fête de la Musique at the Institut suédois ends in style with a DJ set featuring Olof Dreijer, half of the electro pop duo The Knife.

Olof has been pushing the boundaries of electronic music for two decades. He’s DJed across Europe, playing in clubs and festivals such as Panorama Bar, Dalston Superstore, Dekmantel Festival, Unsound, and Club2Club in London.

Olof Dreijer has explored experimental music under the alias Oni Ayhun and collaborated with numerous artists, notably on the Decon Recon project, which challenges traditional hierarchies in the world of electronic music.

Today, Olof is mainly focused on his own music, producing and remixing for other artists as well as teaching music. He co-produced several tracks on Fever Ray’s 2023 album Radical Romantics, produced the debut album Fleuves De L’âme by Tunisian multi-instrumentalist and composer Houeida Hedfi, and worked on tracks for Planningtorock and Swedish-Kurdish pop artist Zhala. Remixes by Olof Dreijer have been commissioned by Fever Ray, Nine Inch Nails, Röyksopp & Robyn, and Ti Chuong.

In 2023, Olof returned with the EP Rosa Rugosa , whose title track was described by Pitchfork as “an unconventional summer banger capable of carpeting the dancefloor in dazzled smiles.”

Olof Dreijer’s current sets feature a mix of all the grooves he loves to dance to himself, ranging from funky techno and melodic house to Baile Funk and Batida, with a few cheeky a cappellas thrown in.
