Open-air cinema: Borg / McEnroe

As part of the Traversées du Marais 2022 festival and in the middle of the Olympiad – the 4-year gap between two editions of the Olympic Games – the Institut Suédois invites you to an open-air screening of the film "Borg / McEnroe".

Written by Ronnie Sandahl and directed by Janus Metz, this film takes us into the mind and emotions of one of the world’s greatest sport icons, the Swedish tennis player Björn Borg, during the legendary standoff with his main rival, the young, talented John McEnroe, at Wimbledon in 1980. It’s the story of two men who changed the face of tennis and secured a place in its hall of fame—and of the price they had to pay.
