Open-air cinema: Tigers

The Institut Suédois is taking part in the "Formes Olympiques" festival organised by the Paris City Council in the runup to the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. It’s a great opportunity to create a dialogue between art and sport and to explore the values of the Olympics!

The film Tigers explores the dreams and nightmares of the soccer industry and of top-level sport in general. In his second feature-length film as director, Ronnie Sandahl looks at the true story of the transfer of 16-year-old footballer Martin Bengtsson to a major Italian club. Martin’s childhood dream soon turns into a chilling nightmare, forcing the naive, enthusiastic youngster to come to terms with a world where everything has its price.
