Solo shows: Andréhn-Schiptjenko c/o Institut Suédois

For six months, the Institut Suédois will be giving carte blanche to the Andréhn-Schiptjenko Gallery, one of the leading contemporary art galleries in Scandinavia.

The gallery will be taking over one of our exhibition rooms to present three solo shows in succession by influential Swedish contemporary artists. Santiago Mostyn draws inspiration from his diverse cultural background (San Francisco, Grenada, Sweden, Zimbabwe and Trinidad) to explore notions of privilege, inclusion and usefulness. Theresa Traore Dalhberg deals with themes such as courage, power structures, colonialism, feminism and the complexity of existing in a post-colonial world. Annika Larsson focuses on the trivial but meaningful gestures and rituals forming a body language that reflects the structures of domination and hierarchical power that exist in society.

Admission free.
