Special reading with music and drawing

Beatrice Alemagna returns to the Institut suédois a year after the exhibition devoted to her book "On va au parc", which has just been released in France. This time, we propose a special reading with musical and artistic accompaniment featuring singer Fredrika Stahl and cellist Maëva Le Berre.
Drawing showing two children playing in a colourful slide in a playground.

Everything began when Beatrice Alemagna started to draw empty playgrounds. Then lockdown emptied the streets and her drawings of parks were filled with children. This strangely powerful images came to the attention of the great writer Sara Stridsberg, who wrote a text inspired by them. From their interactions arose a gently melancholic, whimsical book to which we devoted an exhibition last year. The journey contuinues today with this special reading with musical accompaniment and drawing, featuring Beatrice Alemagna (drawings), Fredrika Stahl (vocals and keyboard), and Maëva Le Berre (cello).

In collaboration with La Partie and the Maison de la Poésie. Part of the Paris en toutes lettres festival.
