Three art historians will explore these circulations in open conversation. Focusing on Barbro Östlihn’s career, the discussion will highlight the strategies artists developed to form part of an international network and the connections between avant-garde movements in Stockholm, New York and Paris. More broadly, they will consider the role played by woman artists during this period and the challenges raised by cultural mobility.
