Date of birth: 10.04.1966
Place of birth: Stockholm, Sweden
Place of residence: Paris, France

Where did you train?

Paris, Académie de Port-Royal.
Stockholm, Gerlesborgsskolan.
Stockholm and Uppsala University. Degree in Arts.
Stockholm University, Grafiska Institutet.

When and for what reasons did you settle in France?

There is one reason but it’s a bit atypical; for the love of Tintin since my childhood. Well, I know its origins are Belgian. But the reading of those comic books during my childhood, at the time when all the books hadn’t been translated into Swedish yet, generated the motivation to learn French, and French culture and a love for everything French that, in the end, influenced the direction my life took right up to today.

What does France represent for you?

A difficult question… A beautiful and great heritage… cultural as well as historical. And Paris… the sensation of living a bit in the centre of the world, in the nerve centre, with the other side of the coin also: there are too many people everywhere.

What about Sweden?

Beautiful wild landscapes, which today appear to me more and more unique and precious.

What are your sources of inspiration and where do they come from?

Above all other artistic means of expression like reading, theatre and contemporary dance on stage.

How would you define yourself and/or how would you define your work?

A difficult question of course but I’d try to say that I’m interested in states (psychological, but physical too) where something just happened or no actually, where something is about to happen rather…
