In my current research project, we examine educational aspirations by analyzing the factors that shape and influence differences in individuals’ application strategies, as well as the outcomes of these strategies for their future education and career paths.”
“In Paris, I will focus on writing and finalizing papers related to my research project in collaboration with partners at CRIS, Sciences Po. Additionally, I plan to establish the foundation for future research initiatives and new projects with French collaborators.”

“Emma Hörnell is a circus artist working with hula hoop juggling. Her artistic work has a foundation in a strive to be part of the evolution of her discipline. In the contemporary circus scene it is still a relatively young discipline and there has, so far, not been as many works created to showcase the vast possibilities of this discipline. Emma aims to do everything possible to lift hula hoops status as a modern circus apparatus and hope to be part of widening the scope of what is done with it.”
“During her stay at the Swedish Institute in Paris she plans on connecting with jugglers and object manipulators in the city to share knowledge with each other and explore the translations possible in the vocabulary between different objects. She looks forward to making connections and discovering the Parisian circus community.”

From lab bench to clinical research

“I’m a senior professor of Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) diseases at Uppsala University and a former head and neck surgeon. I have more than 40 years of experience in medical research and have worked at 3 university hospitals in Sweden. My first exposure to research in France was at the Department of Physiology, Xavier Bichat Faculty, Paris University. During several visits to the laboratory run by Professor Olivier Sterkers, I conducted experimental studies on the toxic effects on the inner ear.”
“Based on my experience, I have great confidence in French medical research. During this stay in Paris, I will transition from experimental research to clinical research. While in Paris, I will establish a project with the Pediatric ENT Department at the Necker – Enfants Malades Hospital, in collaboration with Professor Vincent Couloigner, General Secretary of the French ENT Society. The project will focus on tumors in the head and neck area in children.”

“I am a paediatric oncologist from Stockholm, specialised in childhood leukaemia, both as a clinician and as a researcher. My work has included treatment of childhood leukaemias, lymphomas and also stem cell transplantation over a period of nearly three decades. During a few years I also worked in Sydney, Australia, and before then in Bristol, UK. Since 2019 I am a National Principal Investigator for the ALLTogether1 leukaemia study, a large collaboration between 15 European countries.”
“In Paris I will be visiting colleagues at the Robert DebrĂ© Hospital to discuss reseach collaborations around the treatment of ALL, the most common of leukaemia types during childhood. Currently, an ALL treatment group in Europe (ALLTogether) encompasses about 15 Western European countries, among them Sweden and France. Possibly, we will also try to set up an exchange programme for younger colleagues during their early career.”

“I am a poet, translator and publisher from Stockholm. My first book Monobloc was released by the Swedish publisher Chateaux in 2023. I am one of the publishers of POISE: a Swedish publisher, mobile bookstore, and poetry journal. I am a graduate of the Swedish writing program at Biskops Arnö.”
“My book Monobloc will be published by Éric Pesty Éditeur in the 8clos series during next year. During my stay I will be translating the book Curb by the French poet KaĂŻl Vezza, which has also been published in the 8clos series, and his forthcoming second book. The 8clos was inspired by the Swedish publisher Chateaux’s book series, Turkosa serien. I and Vezza will also be writing a joint publication. This will culminate in a reading at Librairie l’Atelier at the end of the stay.”

“I am a contemporary dance artist and freelancer based in Stockholm, trained at the Danish National School of Performing Arts in Copenhagen. Since 2021, I’ve collaborated with choreographers in new productions and also develop my own dance works . My passion for performing arts and the virtual realm has led me to filmmaking. During the pandemic, I created a dance film in Sweden reflecting on isolation, connection, and nature.”
“Together with my colleague, dancer and choreographer Rebecka Carlsson, we are coming to Paris to explore physical and emotional interactions across cultures. Through observation, dance and discussion, we aim to examine intimacy, proximity, and touch in different cultural contexts. We will engage with locals, attend workshops, and visit dance venues to deepen our shared practice and build connections with Parisian artists for future collaborative projects.”

“I am an independent fashion scholar, critic and curator based in Stockholm. I am a regular contributor to the daily national newspaper Dagens Nyheter, and I have recently curated two major exhibitions on haute couture and the relations between France and Sweden: Paris of the North, NK’s French Couture Atelier 1902–1966 at Nordiska museet, and The Dress Makes the Man, Haute Couture – A New Era at Liljevalchs and Textilmuseet.”
“While in Paris I will be working on an upcoming exhibition and publication based on the life of Maria Pavlovna, a former Swedish Princess and Duchess of Södermanland. The main focus of the project is on fashion and the craft of couture embroidery during the 1910’s in Stockholm and the 1920’s in Paris when Maria Pavlovna founded the embroidery firm Kitmir in close collaboration with Coco Chanel. The exhibition will be opening in Sörmland Museum in 2026 and then travel to Schloss Mainau in 2027.”

born 1975, based in Stockholm, Sweden,
is working in a wide spectrum of music. Started out with classical music but soon found wider inspiration and focused for many years mainly in experimental music and Scandinavian folk music. Have written music for Dramaten, Helsingborgs stadsteater among others. Selected groups and collaborations: Time Is a Blind Guide, Namna, Fire! Orchestra, Goran Kajfes, Skogen.”
“In Paris I will work at OpĂ©ra national de Paris, as musician in the group Fläskkvartetten, performing the music for the production Appartement, by Swedish choreographer Mats Ek.”
